Jen is (stuck) in Naples, Italy because of the terrorist attack at the Istanbul airport... not a terrible place to be stuck in, I guess. She sent me this cat that she saw at the Pompeii Cafe there today!

My friend Jen is traveling in Europe for the next few weeks and is starting in Greece... Not the best timing, but I think things are going okay for her over there because she just sent me this City Kitty that she met in Athens!

Park Hill Cat

I was supposed to do all kinds of fun stuff yesterday, including going to a Liberian festival on Staten Island and hosting a house warming party, but I got a fever instead and spent the day in bed. But my friends went to Staten Island and saw a city kitty in Park Hill! I wish I could have seen it :,-C Luckily Jen snapped a picture for me.

LIC Cat

Jen, Jinwon, and I met at Transmitter brewery in Long Island City last night to try some fabulous beers. On her way there, Jen saw this cat squished against the window of a pet store.

Runaway Cat

I have a terrible story to recount.

Today I was in Brighton Beach with Jen, and we saw a couple with a cat in a cat carrier--one of those plastic ones where the top and bottom are held together by flimsy, plastic attachments. The bottom loosened from the top and the kitty inside jumped out of the carrier and ran down the street! Jen, the woman and I all ran after the kitty, which was running in the road. A couple of blocks down, we found it under a car. The lady was not so smart, though, because she did not want us to help her catch the cat, which was running from car to car, hiding under them, so we left her alone. I hope she was able to catch her cat :-/
