Way-Upper West Side Cat

My very good friend Julia came to visit me today and we went for a long walk which took us up to the Columbia area.  On our way back down to the express train on Broadway we bumped into this 99 cent store cat who was hanging out on the sidewalk between 102nd and 103rd streets (right near where Jenny used to live!).  S/he was very friendly and greeted me with an assertive meow before s/he went back in her/his store.

My good (and soon to be married!) friend Jenny is spending the day in St. Louis and just saw this little cat in a bookstore there.

City Kitties Travels: Beacon Bill

I know it appears as though there is no cat in this picture, but there is quite a large cat here in this alley way in Beacon Hill in Boston where I went this past weekend for part of my good friend Jenny's bachelorette party.

Charlie

I had been a little sad about the dry spell I've been going through in terms of finding/getting pictures of city kitties lately. Two nights ago I was unable to take a picture of a cat near Food Bazaar on Wyckoff Ave. and the next morning couldn't snap a picture of a cat in time on my way home from the gym. But then along came Charlie! (Or, rather, an email from my good friend Jenny with pictures of Charlie attached.) Charlie is one of Jenny's friend's cats and he is a Maine Coon. He is so cute, especially with the sweater!! I would love to have a Maine Coon, but my boyfriend is allergic to cats, especially those with long hair which is why both of our cats are short-haired.
