Doodle is Aaaaall Better!

In case you need a recap of Doodle's past five weeks, he got a blocked urethra on his birthday, which resulted in an emergency hospital visit, followed by continuing inability to pee. He then visited the vet for nine days where he had a catheter and surgery to remove his penis (as well as balls, which were already rendered useless by neutering). He came home for two weeks, where he developed an infection in his surgery area because I was afraid to touch/clean it. He visited the vet again. He then took lots of antibiotics for ten days, and visited the vet again today where he was pronounced infection-free and his sutures were removed.

Doodle is now enjoying life as a cone-less, wiener-less cat. Here, Scribble wonders where Doodle's man parts went.

I kind of wish the cone that Doodle wore this whole time looked like this one that I saw in Hong Kong:

HK Cat Cafe Cats

You might remember that I visited a cat cafe in Hong Kong earlier this year. Well, Jimmy went back to see our old friends, and some new ones!

Cuddling:

Oh yeah, here are some non-cat cafe HK kitties:

Taiwanese Cats

Jimmy had a nice, long layover in Taipei on his way back to NYC from Hong Kong the other day. He spent his time wisely by visiting a cat cafe!

Here is a cat in a cafe, Coffee Lab, that wasn't open yet:

A kitty at a food stall. Oh, how I miss East Asian street food...

This is a cat cafe cat. It's name is Meow. I feel bad for it because it is bald from scratching itself :-/

And here is Cho Cho. KEEEEEEET!!!!

Obama

To preface this post, I'd just like to clarify that I did not name this cat. The guy at the corner store on Madison Ave. somewhere between my house and my gym told me that this cat is named Obama and, quite frankly, I'm not sure about naming a cat after Barack Obama.

Now that that is out of the way, I saw this orange kitty today and it was sooooo friendly. The corner store guy told me that the cat is from Afghanistan. I had to clarify, so I asked him if the cat was actually brought here from there. He said yes... I don't know how much I believe him, but I guess it isn't out of the realm of possibility. I told the guy at the store that I also have an orange cat, and he asked me if I ever bring him to Central Park. Doodle would definitely not enjoy a trip to the park.

Also, sorry about the catbutt shot. It was the only one where kitty wasn't blurry.
