Mural Cats

Last summer I saw a bunch of kids painting this mural on Chambers Street just east of West Street in Tribeca, but I never noticed until today how many cats are in it!--Many of them are Cheshire cats, because the mural is an Alice in Wonderland theme.  Here are a few examples; it would have been way too many pictures to post all of them.

And this one, below, has four cats in it! See if you can find them all.

Subway Graffiti Cat

I was waiting for the R train on the downtown platform at 8th Street earlier today when I saw this little cat face on the trash bin. Very cute!

City Kitties Travels: Springfield Garfield Graffiti

I took the train up to Western Massachusetts this weekend.  When I was leaving this afternoon from Springfield, I noticed this mediocre graffiti of Garfield the cat in bright green.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a good picture because the train was moving too fast...

Jack (Rabbit)

True, Jack is not a cat but, like Bun Bun, Jack is a super adorable bunny so I just had to include him.  I saw him last Wednesday when I was in Soho with my good friend Melissa (whose lovely hand is featured in this photo shoot).  We had just finished having lunch at my favorite restaurant of all time when we saw Jack in the window of a clothing boutique several doors down.  What's great about Jack is that he loves attention, and will lean over his barrier to get it!

Dyker Heights Bodega Cat

My good friend Heidi sent me this cute cat that she saw in her neighborhood a week or so ago.  I just remembered to post it.  Whoops!  Thanks, Heidi!

Yet another Sunnyside Surprise

Okay, so this particular pet store in Sunnyside officially has a ton of resident cats!  I feel as though every time I walk by I see a new cat hanging around/in it.  Regardless, here is a cute orange one who I saw yesterday morning.  A ray of Sunnyside sunshine B-) (sunglasses, of course.)

Daredevil Cat

I was walking down 19th Ave. on my way to the gym yesterday morning when I saw this little daredevil cat hanging out in the road.  When I went to take it's picture, I realized there was a man loading the trunk of his car in the direction of my cellphone camera (you can see his rear end on the right).  I told him I was taking a picture of the cat, not him.  I hope he wasn't insulted!
