Cat Love

Jimmy met, and held, this cat near his apartment this week.

Block Cat

Jimmy saw this cat on his block a few nights ago.

Tiny Babycats!

I saw this adorable babycat, along with its mom and two babysiblings, last weekend on E 121st St. The two siblings were wrestling, but I couldn't get a good picture. Two were grey and striped like this one (as well as their mom) and one was black. So KEEEEEEEET!!!!! Love.

Industry Kitty

I saw this cat on a restaurant sign in Sunset Park (or, as realtors call it now, Industry City) last weekend with Heidi.

Sunset Fluff

Heidi and I saw these fluffy kitties in a pet store in Sunset Park last weekend.

E Harlem Garden Cat

I saw this cat last weekend when I was walking home from Target in East Williamsburg.

Laura the Sidewalk Art Cat

Saw this in Williamsburg recently.

Knife Cat

I was walking over the Williamsburg Bridge either last weekend or the weekend before when I saw this graffiti and thought it was a cat... That's when you know you truly are a cat person.

City Kitties Travels: St. Louis Backyard Cats

I am visiting Eva in St. Louis this weekend. One of the first things we did when I arrived was bring Claudius out for a walk in his backyard area. While we were out there we met two more neighborhood cats!

Big West Coast Cats

Cal has been in California for about a week and a half now, of which I am very jealous, and he went to the San Diego zoo the other day. Here are some big city kitties that he sent me.

Halloween Cat

I saw this little kitty in East Harlem yesterday, on Halloween!

Doodle's 9th Birthday!

It is hard to forget how awful Doodle's birthday was last year. Instead of celebrating, we spent the night in an animal hospital while he got his urinary tract unblocked. That was followed by 10 days at the vet and surgery. It was terrible. Luckily, this year Doodle had a happy, healthy birthday! Jimmy came over, and he, Scribble, Annie, and I hung out with Doodle, and he ate some delicious wet food for dinner. Happy birthday, little guy!

Annie

My roommate offered to catsit this kitty, Annie, for six months. She arrived today for a trial run. I am still unsure how thrilled I am to have a new, strange cat in the house with my babycats, but she certainly is cute. We will see if she gets to stay...

Cal and I did an impromptu camping trip in Harriman State Park in Rockland county on Thursday night, and right after we set up our tent we spotted this kitty meandering through the campground!

Forgotten East Harlem Cats

I feel like a bad cat blogger because I definitely saw these two cats on two separate occasions in East Harlem in the last week or two and forgot to post them :(

Veggie Garden Trio

I was walking to Columbia this morning when I saw a cat in a vegetable garden on 122nd St. Then I saw a second kitty--then a third! They are so keeeeeet!!!!

LIC Kitty

Jen and I were in the middle of a pretty epic bar crawl on Saturday night when we saw this kitty hanging out in Long Island City. It was a lil fatty, so I think someone takes care of it.

Newt

Heidi and I were at Atlantic Antic on Sunday in Brooklyn when we saw this cute kitty waiting to be adopted. KEET!

City Kitties is Seven Years Old!

Can you believe it?!? Scribble and Doodle are soooo excited >^..^<

Cat on a Leash

Jimmy saw this kitty being walked on a leash in Central Park. He didn't want to be a creep, otherwise he would have gotten a closer picture.

Bunny Keeper

I saw this kitty on 3rd Ave. in Gowanus/Park Slope yesterday. What was especially exciting about this cat is that it lives with a whole bunch of big rabbits! There were at least six that I saw. They are gathered in the background of the picture.

Lucy

I was in Park Slope yesterday when I saw this lil round fatty!!!! Her name is Lucy, and she lives at a bodega on 3rd Ave. I think she eats a lot of mice.

Patio Cat

I saw this kitty in Harlem the other day! It is missing an ear  >*..^<

Roof Cat

The other night Cal, my new roommate Erin, and I were hanging out on my roof and trying one of the cigars Cal had brought back from Cuba when this fat lil cat appeared! I couldn't believe there was a cat on my roof! It was very round and tubby and had a collar on, so I'm guessing it has a home and probably hangs out on the roofs all the time.

MOMI Cat

Jimmy saw this kitty in Queens today while he was walking to the Museum of the Moving Image (where, incidentally, there is an internet cats exhibit on view right now!).

Waiting for Adoption

I saw these kitties in an adoption center in the East Village/Alphabet City last night!

Parker

I was walking down West 72nd St. checking out Jimmy's new neighborhood yesterday when I saw this lil tuxedo cat, Parker, hanging out in a pet store window.

City Kitties Travels: Memphis Animals

I went to Memphis to eat lots of BBQ last week and saw some animals. Not kitties, though, unfortunately.

A bar, Silky O'Sullivan's on Beale St., has resident goats. Here is one:

I also got to see the ducks get escorted to the fountain in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel:

Melody

Heidi saw this kitty at Melody Lanes in Brooklyn when she was on a hot date.

Park Slope Cats

Jimmy is in the process of finding an apartment in Park Slope and has seen lot of kitties!

This one he saw in front of McDonald's on the block where he used to live on 9th St:

This kitty lives right above the apartment he used to live in on 7th Ave (I think). Apparently he hated his upstairs neighbor... I wonder if he is still there:

This kitty lives in an apartment that Jimmy took a look at:

This kitty lives at the pet store that is across the street from where Jimmy used to live:

I think this kitty might actually live in Harlem, but I don't remember:
