Kitty Birthday

There were definitely a couple of themes that were threaded through my birthday party this past Saturday: lots and lots of chocolate and kitties. Surprising? I think not.

Here I am playing Pin the Tail on Scribble. I was really happy to see that everyone seemed to enjoy my childish game.

My friend Abby pinned her tail closest to the most appropriate tail spot:

And Heidi made me an amazing Doodle cake! The pic is fuzzy because there was some kind of gross film on my camera lens.

Rumba

Jimmy was pet sitting this weekend for a colleague of his in Morningside Heights this weekend. The dog was super cute, but Rumba totally stole the show! She is super fluffy, but really tiny. I wanted to steal her and take her home.

Pin the Tail on Scribble

I made this awesome Pin the Tail on Scribble game for my big "30th birthday/graduation/I got a job" party tomorrow. I am super proud of it.

Trash Cat

Crappy picture, I know. But I saw this cat saunter into the trash area of my building the other night. I crouched to try to get its attention, and it turned around--but then it started charging at me which made me kind of scared. So I got out of its way and it ran across the street. The cat was smart, though, because I think it knew that I was blocking the only exit, so if it wanted to get away from me it just had to make a mad dash for it.

Cat Chalk

Jimmy drew this kitty on Fifth Avenue during the Museum Mile Festival today!

As much as I would have liked to have drawn a cat, my drawing talents lie in snails so I stuck to what I knew. Though the snail I drew today kind of sucked.

Mi Mi and Produce

Approximately a million years ago I saw this adorable cat who I named Produce Cat in a produce store in Chinatown. I always think of that cat when I pass by the store because, quite frankly, I am proud of how my picture of him turned out that day.

Well, I walked by today and noticed a little black cat in the store! So I went in, and she was suuuuuuuper friendly. The store people told me her name is Mi Mi.

To my surprise, as Mi Mi was enjoying some nice rubbies Produce Cat came running out from the back to get some love!!!
They are both very sweet kitties, and get along very well. Produce even crawled under Mi Mi at one point to get by her, rather than walk around her.

Here they are together:

City Kitties Travels: Babygulls

I went to Niagara Falls this weekend and discovered that there are tons of seagulls there, especially on the U.S. side where there are lots of rocks for nesting. It must be baby season because there were soooooo many babygulls!!!! Fuzzy!!!!!
