Outdoor Cats

I was walking to Heidi's house yesterday to visit her catfriend Clyde when I saw a little kitty (the one in the background) try to run out into 14th Avenue! I followed the kitty halfway up the block and it brought me to it's friend (the one in the foreground) and, I think, where it lives (given the pet house in the driveway).

City Parrot II

I saw this man walking his African Grey Parrot in Tribeca yesterday! It was super exciting, and also gave me an excuse to post an updated picture of the green parrots in Midwood that I took a couple of weeks ago. Before the nest was backlit, so I took a picture from the other side of the street:

I saw this kitty in Midwood near Brooklyn College the other day.  Can you spot it?

Another Friend of Fat Man

You might remember Friend of Fat Man, who sits next to his owner who is always, ALWAYS sitting and watching TV right by his window. Well, the guy has another lil cat friend. This kitty was sitting in an open window watching the birds fly around in the tree. I was really surprised it didn't jump out and start chasing them.

City Kitties Travels: Somerville Fatties

I had an adventure in New Jersey today and was finally on my way back to the city when I spotted these suuuuuuuuuper fat cats in a store in Somerville. I would have gone in to play with them, but I was pretty desperate to get out of Jersey after getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with no phone service after I missed my stop on the commuter rail because the doors didn't open. Womp womp. TMI, I know.

I thought this picture below was pretty amusing because not only can you see the reflection of me taking a picture of the cats, but you can also see the man who is clearly judging me for being a crazy person.

Class Cutter

Yesterday was such a nice day, it should be no surprise that this Brooklyn College kitty was skipping class (like about half of my students).

Happy Birthday, Scrib!

I am a bad cat mom because I forgot that today was Scribble's 8th birthday until just now--with less than an hour left!  She celebrated by rolling around in a patch of sun earlier today while I was completely oblivious and distracted. Will post something celebratory tomorrow.
