Maneki-neko

I was in Chinatown tonight with Heidi and walked by a store that had so many lucky cats in the window!  (As a side note, I always assumed that these were Chinese cats, but I learned--for the purpose of this post--that lucky cats, or "Maneki-neko," are actually Japanese.)

The first ones to catch our eyes were these super chubster lucky cats:

Then we saw one that was even more chubster:
